treat cancer and other diseases. Learn about ongoing efforts to protect
our most threatened ecosystems and promote sustainable development, and

- March 20, 2010 – in response to the success of 2009’s workshop, a second home composting education program will be held. The $40.50 cost includes the workshop and a compost bin.
- March 27, 2010 – a rain barrel education program will be held. The $69 cost for the session includes a rain barrel!

We’ll plant sugar snap pea seeds, look through seed catalogues, and plan our spring flower
and vegetable gardens. Come join Meg Willcox as she gathers a group of kids to join the Vegetable Exchange.
This meeting will help you prepare to plant a garden so that you can participate in the Vegetable Exchange this summer. The Vegetable Exchange takes place every Saturday at 10:00 AM, June through September, outside the Narberth Library. Saturday, March 13, 2010, CALLING ALL GARDENERS! THE 2ND ANNUAL NARBERTH
GREENS SEED SWAP is happening this Sat. Mar. 13 from 9:30 to 11:00 am at the home of Dawn and Bob
Weisbord. Their address is 301 Windsor Ave, on the corner diagonally across from the post office. The entrance
is in the rear, up the wooden stairs. Everyone is invited, and new gardeners are especially welcome
Feel free to bring seeds you've saved from your garden, as well as
seed packs from previous seasons. They will usually germinate, just at
a lower rate. Bring little containers or envelopes, and something to
mark them. We'll have extra small containers to share.
The seed swap is an effort to share hearty local varieties that have
been grown and tested in this region in particular. It's also an
opportunity to continue sharing with each other knowledge about what
we are learning in our gardens. We'll also talk about the Narberth
Greens Vegetable and Flower Exchange which will be starting in May.
Please bring seeds or seedlings only. For more information, please call me at (484) 995-3619.
