Ricklin's Hardware
Jed Riddell of Ricklin's Hardware was kind enough to provide Narberth Greens with a list of the top four things you can do to make your home energy efficient.
1) Switch to compact fluorescent light bulbs "If every American home replaced just one light bulb with an ENERGY STAR qualified bulb, we would save enough energy to light more than 3 million homes for a year, more than $600 million in annual energy costs, and prevent greenhouse gases equivalent to the emissions of more than 800,000 cars." -(Energy Star)
2) Change your air conditioner filters: Jed says that if you keep on top of changing your air conditioner's filters, your machine will run more efficiently and save energy because it won't have to work as hard to condition the air. This can also helps with allergy suppression.
3) weather stripping: Jed says to make sure your home is equipped with the proper weather stripping to help maintain modified environments in hot and cold weather.
4) Push lawn mowers: Get the chore of mowing the lawn out of the way, and save yourself a trip to the gym all at once!
All of the above items are available at Ricklin's Hardware. Tell Ricklin's you would like more environmentally friendly items!
